If you are thinking of Dubai only as a stopover city – re-think it. Dubai is a destination in itself with a myriad of things to do for both couples & families.
A holiday in Dubai will be unforgettable and The Westin Mina Seyahi is one of the best places to call home for The Lux Travellers living it up in Dubai!
Westin Mina Seyahi located right on the beach, at the base of the Palm, and shares its beautiful territory with a newly renovated Le Meridien Mina Seyahi.
Location of the hotel is brilliant! I think staying by the beach is a must for all holiday makers in Dubai. Major attractions and The Palm are only a short taxi ride away.
Accommodation
All rooms are spacious (at least 52 sq m) and feel brand new. They are also plush and luxurious. Normally we don’t recommend the standard rooms to our Lux Travellers but in this case Sea View Rooms are gorgeous. Just make sure not to book the room facing the back of the hotel, they look out onto the road and you won’t be happy there.
Executive rooms are on higher floors and include Club access.
All suites are divine & really luxurious. Any of the suites would easily accommodate a family of four.
Special touches – Westin provides lovely amenities for the children’s, even the kid size bathrobes. Our little one has received a welcome gift on arrival with a gorgeous back pack and toys inside. She was one very excited and happy girl!
Facilities
Resort has large territory with many pools for every taste, tennis courts, ample lounges in the sun and in the shade, grassy areas for the little ones to run around on, excellent kids club with activities to suit 4 to 10 year olds and a spa. Gardens are immaculately manicured and maintained – very pretty all around!
The beach is OK (if you are coming to Dubai for the sea this beach is not great as it is a little obstructed by the nearby Marina). It is shallow and doesn’t feel as soft and clean as others around. There are other Dubai hotels with better beaches. Most guests in this hotel use pools rather than the beach.
Dining at the Westin
Breakfast – Superb! Truly! Even if you are not a big morning eater – do try it.
It has freshest foods from all around the world, presented in the most beautiful manner. Buffet never felt crowded. Tables on the outside terrace with the views are a real treat. Bring your book and enjoy a long delicious breakfast!
Bussola – Italian al fresco restaurant. It has a very good reputation in Dubai so it seems to be always full, not only with hotel guests but also with the local ex-pats. Food and wine list are excellent. Downstairs dining area is quite formal while upstairs pizzeria is a perfect place to get a slice of traditional Italian pizza with the family.
Westin Mina Seyahi Bubbalicious Friday lunch is quite famous in Dubai! A must try on a Friday afternoon. It has the most amazing food selection from all 4 restaurants and free flowing bubbly. The entertainment for the kids and adults is unsurpassed.
Dress up and enjoy!
Club Lounge – Is another great place to have an aperitif and a snack before dinner. The lounge is very quiet and relaxing place. The staff are attentive and welcoming. Lounge serves afternoon tea and pre-dinner cocktails. Starwood Platinum and Gold members get access to the lounge without an extra surcharge.

The Lux Traveller Didn’t Like:
The beach was the only disappointment we had. It is what you’d call a swimming beach. It felt a little dirty and very enclosed with the marina being located right in front of the beach.
And Westin Mina Seyahi doesn’t participate in a Starwood loyalty program, so unfortunately no points will be rewarded for a stay here and no upgrades for loyal Starwood customers.
All In All – Did we enjoy our stay here? Absolutely! We would recommend this hotel to any Lux Traveller without hesitation. It is perfect for families, business travellers and couples alike. True 5 Star stay!
