FINALLY WE FOUND A TRULY LUXURIOUS HOTEL IN TOKYO!

conrad-tokyo

Previously we stayed in the Grand Hyatt and I can’t say that we were impressed with the area or the view.

Conrad is in a perfect location, 5-7 min walk to busy and exciting Ginza streets and has amazing views nearly from every room and suite.

First impressions

Conrad Tokyo has some serious Wow factor! The reception floor is located on level 28 and has breathtaking views of the Tokyo Bay.

The greeting at reception is warm and welcoming. We were very pleased to receive an upgrade to a King Deluxe Suite (we are Diamond Hilton HHonours member).

King Deluxe Suite # 3723

Just like the hotel itself the suite has WOWED us from the minute we walked in!

It has everything a luxury suite should have and more.

To mention just a few beautiful features – floor to ceiling windows open onto breathtaking views of Tokyo Bay.Conrad-Tokyo-View

The suite is very modern, plush and luxurious. It has every little special touch you could think of – entrance hall, huge bathroom with a large window, spa bath, double showers, 2 vanities and lovely aromatherapy toiletries.

The bedroom is spacious, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, black out blinds don’t let any light in. You just feel at home!

The living room has ample sofas (perfect if you are travelling with the children), comfortable study desk, guest powder room. Of course there is a selection of tea, Nespresso machine and other little surprises and gadgets that will delight. Did I mention a huge walk in wardrobe, enough to accommodate the luggage of a family of four (at least).

Every single detail in the suite is tasteful, elegant, luxurious and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Facilities at the Conrad Tokyo

The Club Lounge

It is also located on level 37, doesn’t have the same stunning views as the foyer but the service and lovely snacks more than make up for it. You could also check in / check out here which saves a lot of time and makes the experience more personalised.

Pool & Gym

Indoor heated 25m pool is a treat! It is warm, beautiful and has amazing views of the bay and the city. Not many hotels can boast a pool on the 29th floor with sweeping views. Gym is small but very functional. I had a great work out. Of course, there is an ample supply of water and towels and you can even hire an ipod if you didn’t bring your own.

Mizuki Spa

Spa facilities are not extraordinary but have everything one needs.

My massage was excellent but if you want to go for a real treat book couples room at sunset and enjoy a romantic treatment together with your loved one in a stunning spa room with breathtaking views. Romantic experience we highly recommend.

Dining in the Conrad Tokyo

There is a number of restaurants to choose from – Collage (Modern european cuisine by Michelin star awarded chef), China Blue – Chinese as the name suggests and Kazahana – traditional Japanese.

Bar Twenty Eight is a superb place for a drink with a view. It boasts a superb selection of cocktails and spirits and is a very popular place to watch a sun set over the Tokyo skyline. Live music at night adds more colour to an already vibrant atmosphere. Must visit for an afternoon tea and pre-dinner drink!Conrad-Tokyo-TwentyEight

China Blue – Michelin Star Restaurant

We had a pleasure of dining at this excellent restaurant. It boasts a spectacular setting!ChinaBlue_Conrad

Guests can choose from either sexy velvet lounge seats or sit side by side right in front of the floor to ceiling windows with stunning views of Tokyo skyline right.

The food is modern Chinese – light yet very satisfying.

I would suggest choosing a Chef’s menu – a carefully pre-selected delectable menu of the best dishes the chef is famous for.

Highly recommend this restaurant – one of the highlights of our stay!

All in All – Sensational Hotel. For The Lux Traveller taste – The Best in Tokyo.

Conrad-Tokyo-TwentyEight_Fireplace

It has everything luxury city hotel should have – exceptional interiors, modern, luxurious yet warm and inviting; fantastic suites (the best we saw in Tokyo), amazing views, Michelin Star restaurants, excellent service!

Small negative – there is construction at the back of Conrad so arrival by taxi to the hotel is not impressive. Taxi had to navigate his way through a few road closures. But his small negative did not effect our stay at the slightest and we most certainly didn’t hear any construction noise from our suite.

Verdict – Think no further and book the Conrad! 100% satisfaction guaranteed!
